There were plenty of females around also, inciting the natural flow of agressive hormones into the males vying for a spot in the mating game.

This is the first aggressive behavior I have seen this season.

These two bucks are of about equal size. We can see who is winning this battle.

It is not unusal to see a young fawn in the late summer because the weather is warm here year round. This late fawn is about 8 weeks old.
