White-crowned Pigeon May 24, 2014 Noni Cay Birds No Comments Tags: White-Crowned Pigeon This bird is originally from the Caribbean Islands and can be found in the Keys and southern Florida. It is classified as Threatened in the U.S.A. The Buttonwood tree is prohibited by law to cut down. The Key Deer also relish the berries. This is one of Florida’s rarest birds. The pigeons like to eat the berries from the blossoming buttonwood trees in my yard.
