It was a big treat for me to have my camera at the ready when this raccoon appeared out of the pine woods.
Found only in the southeastern United States – Georgia, Alabama, and Florida.
Florida softshell turtle. Alligators like to prey on them. No wonder I have never seen one before in these parts.
